Yarn: Lightweight 4 ply / fingering yarn with drape and good stitch definition (a smooth cotton, wool, or soft blend works well for showcasing lace and openwork).
Needles & notions: 3.00 mm crochet hook, 2.50 mm crochet hook, 3.50 mm crochet hook, 4.00 mm crochet hook, stitch markers, tapestry needle, buttons (3 for smock, 6 for waistcoat).
Tension (gauge): Smock: 24 stitches and 13 rows to 10 cm over treble crochet on 3.00 mm hook. Waistcoat: 14 pattern and 15 rows to 12.5 cm over pattern on 3.50 mm hook.
