Needles & notions: 3.75 mm and 4.5 mm knitting needles; 3.5 mm crochet hook (belt loops); 7 buttons; stitch markers; tape measure; yarn/tapestry needle; blocking tools.

Tension (gauge): 18 stitches × 25 rows = 10 cm over stocking stitch on 4.5 mm needles; adjust needle size to match.

Construction notes: Pieces worked flat: back, left front, right front, sleeves. Rib hem, fronts, and collar on 3.75 mm; body/sleeves in stocking stitch on 4.5 mm. Front slope shaped with regular decreases; shoulders cast off; sleeves increased to a comfortable width then set in. Button bands worked separately in rib; right band includes evenly spaced buttonholes; collar picked up/attached and finished in rib. Optional belt worked as a long rib strip; simple crochet chains form belt loops sewn at the waist. Optional swiss-darned vertical stripes added after seaming.

Skill level: Confident beginner to intermediate (accurate counting, shaping, picking up/attaching bands and collar, optional duplicate-stitch embroidery).
