A classic Aran-weight cape-style poncho with clean contrast edging, a deep rib-effect neckband worked in the round, and optional tassels at the points. Shaped from a compact cast-on into broad, draping panels, it’s an easy, meditative knit in stocking stitch with garter-stitch edges. The silhouette layers smoothly over winter outfits, and the generous neckband adds structure and warmth. Work flat for the body, then pick up for the neckband and finish with simple tassels.
