Sizing/Measurements To fit bust: 30 (32, 34, 36, 38, 40) in / 76 (81, 86, 91, 97, 102) cm. Finished garment (approx): 34 (36, 38, 39½, 42, 44) in / 86 (91, 97, 100.5, 107, 112) cm. Length from shoulder (approx): 21½ (22½, 23, 23½, 23½, 24) in / 54.5 (57, 58.5, 59.5, 59.5, 61) cm. Sleeve seam length: 17 (18, 18, 18½, 18½, 18½) in / 43 (45.5, 45.5, 47, 47, 47) cm.
Needles & notions 4 mm needles (UK 8 [US 6]) and 5 mm needles (UK 6 [US 8]), or sizes required to obtain correct tension; cable needle; stitch holders.
Tension (gauge) 18 stitches and 26 rows to 4 in / 10 cm over the pattern on 5 mm needles (or size required to obtain correct tension).

Construction notes Worked flat in pieces (Back, Front, Sleeves) with ribbed lower bands and set-in sleeves; cable panels and Wheat Stalk placement are established early, with Sprigs of Wheat introduced across designated stalks; shoulders are cast off to shape, neck is shaped on the Front with centre stitches held; neckband stitches are picked up around the opening and worked in rib; finish with seaming and final blocking to measurements. Skill level Intermediate (cables, patterned texture, shaping, picking up stitches, seaming).
