Yarn: Aran-weight, wool-rich blend (80–100% wool with up to 20% acrylic/nylon). Approx balls (50 g) — Lady’s: 16 [17 : 17 : 18 : 18 : 19]; Men’s: 17 [19 : 19 : 20 : 20 : 21].

Needles & notions: 3¼ mm and 4½ mm knitting needles; cable needle; 5 buttons; stitch holders; tapestry needle.

Tension (gauge): 10 sts × 14 rows = 5 cm (≈ 20 sts × 28 rows = 10 cm) over Double Moss on 4½ mm, or needles to obtain gauge.
