Yarn

Double Knitting (DK).

Option A (approx 65% acrylic / 20% wool / 15% nylon, 50 g ≈ 120–130 m): balls required per size (as printed): 9, 9, 10, 10, 11.

Option B (100% wool, superwash, 50 g = 125 m): balls required per size: 11, 12, 12, 13, 13, 14, 15.

Needles & notions

3 3/4 mm (UK 10) and 4 mm (UK 8) needles, cable needle, 5 buttons.

Tension (gauge)

13 sts and 16 rows to 5 cm (approx 2 in), measured over pattern.

Recommended yarn:

Rowan Pure Wool Superwash DK.

Construction notes

Worked flat in separate pieces (back, two fronts, sleeves), then seamed; ribbed button bands are worked separately and sewn on; cable patterning runs through the body sections.
