Sizing / Measurements To fit: 32–34 (34–36; 36–38) ins / 81–86 (86–91; 91–96) cm. Actual garment width: 41 (44; 47) ins / 104 (112; 119) cm. Length (from side neck): 26 ins / 66 cm (all sizes). Sleeve seam: 19 (19½; 20) ins / 48 (49½; 51) cm.
Yarn DK-weight yarn (choose a yarn that meets the stated tension). Two shades are specified: use two coordinating shades in the same yarn type/weight. Quantities are based on 50 g balls: Shade A 23 (24; 25) balls; Shade B 23 (24; 25) balls.
Needles & notions 3¼ mm and 3¾ mm knitting needles; 4 mm knitting needles; 1 cable needle; 9 buttons; stitch holders / safety pins; spare needle for held stitches.
Tension (gauge) 22 stitches and 30 rows = 10 cm (4 ins) square over check stitch (side panel) using 4 mm needles.

Construction notes Body is worked with patterned side panels and a defined centre panel, then fronts are worked to match, with front-band stitches held for the button and buttonhole bands. Sleeves are worked with side panels and a centre panel, with sleeve extensions used to span the shoulder cast-offs. Bands are worked in rib and the neckband is worked across held stitches and shaped with evenly spaced decreases, then folded and stitched down.
