What you’ll make A long, structured cable jacket with a ribbed hem and cuffs, a ribbed high neck, two patch pockets, and a nine-button front.
Sizing / Measurements To fit bust: 81–86 cm (32–34 in), 91–97 cm (36–38 in), 102–107 cm (40–42 in). Actual garment bust: 102 cm (40 in), 112 cm (44 in), 122 cm (48 in). Length: 70/72/74 cm (27½/28½/29 in). Sleeve seam: 45/46/47 cm (17¾/18/18½ in).
Yarn type: Aran / Worsted-weight yarn. Choose a smooth, plied aran/worsted yarn with strong stitch definition so the cables stay crisp.
Recommended yarn: West Yorkshire Spinners The Croft Aran — Yarn quantities (100 g balls): 8 (9) (10).

Needles & notions 3.75 mm (UK 9 / US 4) and 4.5 mm (UK 7 / US 7) knitting needles; cable needle; stitch holders; tapestry needle; 9 buttons.
Tension (gauge) 25 stitches and 28 rows to 10 cm (4 in), measured over the pattern, using 4.5 mm needles (swatch and adjust needle size to match).
Construction notes Worked flat in pieces (back, two fronts, sleeves), then seamed. Neckband is picked up and worked in rib. Buttonhole band and button band are worked along the fronts/neck edge. Pockets are formed by sewing in linings and stitching pocket edges into the side seams.
